Power Supply Projects Ltd are the Principal Contractor for the design and installation of Network Rails new training facility at the York ROC Workforce Development Centre.

The heart of the new facility is the Feeder Station for which PSP Ltd will be renovating a prior operational traction distribution Feeder Station. Renovation works will start in the new year to be undertaken at York ROC premises.

In addition to the substation renovation, PSP Ltd will also install further training equipment external to the substation. The External equipment includes voltage regulator & auxiliary transformer as would be used to provide signaling power from OLE, three outdoor circuit breakers including 1 with an intentional fault to be found by trainees, Knife switch & Morris line switch.

Design works are approaching completion, providing detailed information such as diagrams, layouts and 3D structure images. These will be used by our in-house Construction team when installation works begin in early 2021.

The varied external training equipment will be situated directly outside the Feeder Station and connected to the existing overhead line training span structures for ease of training. Once complete the renovated Feeder Station will be used by Network Rails Work Force Development Centre to deliver distribution in-house training courses.
